MY STORY
I became a single mom at the age of 23, and that was when I realized it was time to grow up. No more depending on my parents, now I had someone who was depending on me.
It was time for me to provide and care for my daughter. Caring for others was natural for me.
My grandfather took ill unexpectedly, and I watched the family care for him, making sure his needs were met. Granddaddy was not a selfish man, he would have given you the shirt off his back and never asked for anything in return.
I helped care for my grandmother when she took ill. No matter how under the weather she felt, you would never know because she always kept it together. Spending quality time with Mema was priceless.
I loved giving her pedicures when she felt up to it. With all that was going on in my life and knowing the love I had for taking care of others, I later became a caregiver.
While taking care of the elderly and disabled there was something both Granddaddy and Mema taught me was never loose sight of where you come from and how you got there.
Losing both of my grandparents at a young age taught me a lot.
I recently helped care for my Mother in law and before her passing, she loved being pampered. My daughter and I would rub her down in Lavender oil, and she was so happy.
In the passing of the people that I love so dearly, they all taught me this; that we have to take care of ourselves. If you do not take care of yourself first, who will?
Take the time to pamper yourself, love yourself, and enjoy life to the fullest.
This is why this product means so much to me. It’s ok to care for others, but you have to take care of yourself first.
I want you to take that time to care for yourself because you are worth it.
